Sydney
The Upper Nepean dam railways
A short NSW Division AGM then Neil Hogg will Prolific author Jim Longworth has thoroughly researched the Nepean dam construction railway. This railway brought in materials necessary for the completion of the water supply system collecting water on the Illawarra Plateau, about 100 km south of Sydney. Work began in 1925, the Great Depression delaying completion until 1935.
Location: Club Burwood RSL, 96 Shaftesbury
Road, Burwood, in the ‘Private Room’,
Brasserie Restaurant. Free parking is
available in the RSL car park. Only 10 minutes
easy walk from Burwood railway station.

The SA Group generally holds its meetings on the third Thursday of each month and any news of light rail matters – particularly in SA, NT and the Broken Hill area – is welcome. As accommodation is limited, interested persons should contact Les Howard at sa_group@lrrsa.org.au for details if you have not previously been to a meeting. A small and friendly group.
